Having trouble maxing out your score? Just want some tips from the developers on playing a meaner game of Zen fashion? Well, look no further. Here are 15 quick tips to boost your Zen Fashion score:
- Clear Blockers early.

They are preventing you from having large open areas to work with, which is where you will collect most of your Zen Power. Get them out of the way as fast as you can. [close]
- Save your Zen Tokens until you need them.

When you still have Zen Tokens on the board, leave them in place. They work as wild cards and can help you make super long matches. [close]
- Try to collect your favorite color.

It’s easier to create large matches of your favorite color, since you see it easily. Pick your favorite color and try to get all of the flower-matches available that aren’t that color, and then when you can’t make any more matches of any other color, use Zen powers like the Bloom Burst to fill in the empty spots. Then, make a major mega-match. [close]
- Use diagonal matches creatively.

You can almost always find a better match if you look hard enough, and the better matches usually involve a creative use of the diagonal matching ability. [close]
- Use Zen Power combinations.

The Zen Powers are much more powerful if you use them in combination. For instance, using the Bloom Burst and then the Electric Fashion ability on the same color will fill the screen with that color, making large matches easier. [close]
- Clear all of the flowers you can before you use slicers.

The slicers will stop when they hit the first tile, so clear away all of the easy ones, so they will slice more of your board and open up bigger combinations for you.[close]
- Plan your Zen Token placement carefully.

When creating Zen Tokens, the token will always appear on the last flower you select, so plan your sets to end of a flower next to a hard to get tile. That way you’ll have a wild Zen Power token there to use when making your next match. [close]
- Always make matches of five or more if you can.

When you match 5 or more, you will make a Zen Token. This means you’ll have a wild card when you are looking for the next match. Better yet, you are powering up your Zen Powers, which are extremely helpful in solving trouble spots. [close]
- Try to solve the corners first.

The corner spots can be very tricky to clear later in the game, so work from the corners in, so you only have the easy tiles in the big spaces to solve when you are running out of time. [close]
- Plan your selections backwards.

When making a long set, start planning on the tile you want to end on, and count back to where you will begin. That way you know where you are going when you are highlighting. [close]
- Don’t be afraid to “backtrack”.

When making a set, if you work your way into a corner, and there are still a bunch of tiles left that you think you should have gotten, keep the button pressed and move back to an earlier token and try counting from there. [close]
- The Timely fashion Zen Power is your friend.

If you find you are often running out of time, buy fashions that max out the Timely Fashion Zen Power, and use it often. [close]
- Change fashions often.

You can change fashions in the middle of a level without penalty, so take advantage of different fashions in different parts of the level. The Fashion Bomb, for instance, is great for clearing blockers in the beginning of a level. And anyway, what’s the use of having a fashion model at your disposal if you don’t change her clothes every now and then? [close]
- Keep an eye on your Zen Powers.

When they are full, you are wasting your Zen Power if you don’t use them, so make sure to check often and see if you have a power available that you can use, especially Timely Fashion, which is almost always useful. [close]
- Clear the Starbursts early.

They will make new gold tiles, and you don’t want them messing up difficult spaces you have already cleared. Get them all out of the way early, and then go clean up the gold tiles they create. [close]
